Accessibility Statement
This guide aims to describe our facilities so that visitors can assess the suitability of the site in relation to their own needs or disabilities.
Our car park is accessed directly from the B3098 and has space for 20 cars. The car park surface is compacted recycled hardcore and has some small loose stones up to 40mm diameter.
Beyond the car park, all woodland paths are surfaced with bark chippings or bare earth and in places there are exposed roots, brambles and nettles which can encroach on the path. We have a policy of leaving trees where they fall wherever practical so in some places small trunks have been left crossing the path.
Our event spaces are in open woodland clearings with bare earth surfaces.
Our barn is open along one side so provides shelter from rain and wind but no additional warmth. The ground is unpacked recycled hardcore with up to 40mm stones.
The ground will be soft and muddy after periods of rain.
We have one compost toilet which is accessed up three steps.
Seating in event spaces is either wooden benches or ‘stump stools’.
We do not permit pets at events except for assistance dogs.
Guided walks of the site will cover a route of about 2-2.5km down a gentle hill out and up hill back. The route is across ground which is uneven in places including woodland paths (described above) and field paths which are short cropped grass.
We recommend all visitors wear sturdy footwear and long trousers and long sleeved shirts. It can be much cooler in the woods than the ambient temperature so bring plenty of clothing layers.
